I've been waiting with bated breath...I thought the last hiatus was long but this time it's been TWO years since the last Boondocks episode...The first episode of Season 3 is completed...Aaron McGruder confirmed it via Twitter himself...Now let's see how long it takes before The Cartoon Network/Adult Swim actually airs it...I connect more with Huey but I've really missed Riley's antics...

Fresh Jive just released a collabo with John Downer The Typography King...The shirt above is just one of many that John Downer has lent his skills to...Although I'm a fan of the shirt that reads "The World's Got Problems in '09" (because Fresh Jive is right...the World DOES have problems in the '09) The one above is also the most hilarious out of the bunch...All I'm going to say is they ain't never lied...

Jay was go'n cop Artful Dodger...I dropped the news over a month ago...Ya'll will start listening one day...What really makes me happy is Artful Dodger will start making Women's clothes...Now I can stop complaining to anyone who will listen about the lack of ill Women's street brands and how I wish Artful Dodger would make Women's clothing... I just hope the direction of the line doesn't change 'cuz the line is real ill right now...

I LOVE Q-TIP and Lunchbox is Pretty Crackin' Too...

I just got back from Lunchbox...All I can say is Q-Tip gave me a hug and I immediately felt 16 again and loss all ability to form sentences and respond to him but I did hug him back...I'm not sure if I reverted back to 16 'cuz of the thrill I felt interacting with my favorite rapper of my youth or if I was having flashbacks 'cuz of the venue the new Crash Mansion which used to be the Shark Club back in the day...I spent a great deal of my teenage summer nights at Clubhouse Monday Nights at Shark Club along with about 1,000 of my closest friends and there has never been a LA club experience since quite like it...If you weren't partying at Clubhouse Monday Nights in the early-mid 90's you weren't partying... Anyway you should check out Lunchbox Saturday nights...It's pretty hot...Literally...

Sorry... I was just so excited about this I think it warrants it's own post...Aaron McGruder will be bringing The Boondocks back to Adult Swim starting October 8th and I can't wait!!! The delay since last season was so long I was scared Huey and Riley weren't coming back but I'm thrilled they are...Shoulda known they were on CP Time...Hey better late than NEVER!!! The new episodes are to be filled with rappers and other black talent who lent their voices to the upcoming season... It's bound to be another season of black radicalness from Huey mixed with gangster antics from Riley...Sounds like the story of my life...

According to XXL, Puff...Sorry Diddy (I always forget not to call him Puff) has decided to close Justin's in NYC...

The statement which was released says ... “Bad Boy is seeking a larger footprint for the restaurant in the New York City area, as the size and location of the restaurant no longer fit the Justin’s brand,” the statement said. “The company sees the larger Justin’s Restaurant in Atlanta, which takes up most of a city block, as the prototype for the new New York City location. Bad Boy representatives are evaluating a number of options for a larger space in some of New York City’s prime traffic areas.”

The new cover of XXL has been floating around the 'net for a few days now...I saw it and didn't pay too much attention to it 'til I read this...This is why people who don't know hip hop shouldn't blog about hip hop...Is she SERIOUS?! How can she say "I loves me some Lupe, but as for the rest of these dudes....stop playin'"...Even if some of these rappers are a little skeptical how she sleepin' on Saigon, Young Dro, Papoose, Rich Boy AND CROOKED I!? And I have a beef with XXL...Why is Crooked I still a Leader of the New School? Just 'cuz ya'll just started listening to his Hip Hop Weekly's? In an attempt to determine which album is better, The Sly Show is currently playing tracks from 50's and Kanye's album..Sly seems to think 50's go'n win...I'm still not sho...Especially since he won't let any Kanye songs play past 30 secs LOL! Apparently Kanye is "not amusing him" LOL! Sly says he'll post both albums on his site so you can decide for yourself but until then Tune in to The Sly Show RIGHT NOW!!!!

I've actually heard Kanye's album (and the Japanese bonus tracks) and all I know is everything sounds better than anything 50's released off his album yet but what do I know? Maybe he's holding some heat waiting to release it at the last minute...I sho hope so or he's go'n be crying when Kanye outsells him and if that happens neither one of them is ever go'n shut up...
