So I went to the New Balance Super 33 release party at Sportie LA last night and I'm tired...The shoes were hot (they're designed to look like fishies!!! and every knows how I love fishies!), the DJ even hotter, the sushi was cold (as it should be), I got an allergic reaction to the eel rolls and I damn near OD'd on the swedish fish (I have a massive sweet tooth)...anyway...I ain't postin' shit today...so enjoy this lovely blurred picture (hey it was the best I could do with that stupid Sidekick 3)... this was my favorite colorway...oh yeah... I need these kicks...

ANOTHER COLLABO...Tokidoki and Fornarina

Seems like all I've been talking about lately are collabo's...and as much as collabo's are getting played out I still appreciate a good one... This one is from tokidoki and FORNARINA and I HAD to mention it... Apparently Fornarina has been around since 1947...I discovered them back in 2000 and have been a major fan of the line ever since...The shoes are comfortable... the clothes completely unique and the line is just ill all around...The meeting of these two brands is one of the best I've heard in a long time and I can guarantee I'll be at the Fornarina store on Melrose when these drop...I can always use a good pair of heels and these look like the perfect one's to wear when I'm strolling through Miami...

Man.... stupid Proeoner hit me up talkin' 'bout it's snowin' in West LA... he also sent along these pics...it's a lil slushy but he claims that's cuz it started raining immediately after it was snowing for about 10-15mins...whatever...anyone who knows him knows not to believe a word he says so I didn't... we were trying to figure out what website he snatched these pics from...then he sends me this link... so I had to take his word for it...what is the world coming to? First Drama arrested now this...

Drama and Cannon ARRESTED?!

I just walked in the office and was informed Drama and Cannon were arrested ... An inside source tells me they're being held with NO bail or bond...

This news told me three things...
1 - hip hop is bigger than anyone could imagine
2 - the rap game truly is the new crack game
3 - hip hop is so alive and kickin' that the RIAA is upset because they FEEL the decrease in album sales...they know they're losing money to the street... they know we're breaking bread...just not on those wack things they putting out...very honestly everyone knows mixtapes are better than full length albums anyway...knew that from way back when they were really tapes...

A couple of my fellow 'heads and I have been discussing the situation and one of them reminded me that Jam and Rectangle went through the same thing about 10 years ago...the real reason behind their situation...tax evasion...now THIS makes a lil more sense than the RIAA just going around ransacking all mixtape facilities...

I DO know I wish I had my named removed from that email distribution list before the Feds raided the place and snatched up that computer...

First they had the limited edition lipglosses with Disney characters on it and now M.A.C. has teamed up with Mattel/Barbie to create a line of cosmetics...

The collection hits stands 2/13/07 just in time for Valentines' Day ...There will be a limited edition Barbie doll as well as "cosmetics: lipstick, lipglass, eyeliners & shadews, liquid liners, shimmers, powders, nail polish, brushes, and a black makeup bag with pink stitching."

Nixie Watch

I have a love/hate relationship with watches...I would really rather not wear one ever but seeing as I live in a society that is dictated by time I usually end up having to put one on...Women's watches are typically too small... they're delicate, cutesy and very honestly most of them just suck...

My first men's watch was given to me by my daddy about 12 yrs ago.... it was a swiss army watch and I loved it dearly... the face was so big it hung over my wrist BUT I could always see the face and always tell time (unlike with that stupid Dior watch I have that is clearly just for show)...I stumbled across this Nixie Watch and I thought it was adorable...

XM to join SIRIUS?!!!

Just a couple days ago a bunch of us in the office were thinking about subscribing to Sirius...One of my co-workers got a Sirius Radio for Xmas and that prompted the conversation...I already get limited Sirius channels through The Dish Network and I absolutely LOVE the hip hop stations...I think the only one I don't get through Dish is the mixtape station and I think I'm probably missing out on some great music...

This whole discussion prompted me to go to the Sirius site and Wikipedia to learn a lil more about Sirius...

On the Sirius site I quickly discovered that for $500 you can have a lifetime (of the radio) subscription...it's approx. $13 a month so $500 is about 3 yrs of month to month payments so the investment is worth it...

The Wikipedia site revealed the following facts...

Sirius currently has fewer subscribers compared to competitor XM Satellite Radio, with 6.024 million (as of January 2, 2007), less than XM's current audience of roughly 7.6 million (as of January 5, 2007). However, Sirius is gaining new subscribers at a faster rate than XM. In 2006, Sirius added a record 2.7 million net subscribers to XM's less than 1.7 million

So after I shared this info with the rest of the peeps in the office we decided that maybe it was time to buy stock in Sirius... a quick google showed that as of a couple days ago Sirius stock was at $3.71 a share...not too bad...might be a good investment...

Then someone sent me this link from Business Week...

Shares of satellite radio operators XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. and Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. rose Friday, on speculation that the companies might merge or combine in another way.

I can almost guarantee there goes my option to buy stock...wish Xmas fell in November...maybe we woulda made these discoveries then before all Hell broke loose...If you can afford to buy stock now you might wanna do it...

New Adidas Sleek Series....not WTF

OK so I'll be the first to admit when I might be wrong...

Now I still don't really like this Adidas sleek series BUT the collabo with Fafi is off chain... anything Fafi is good with me...having a major love for art I always enjoy when collabos are between fashion and art...to me it's the ultimate way to showcase my love for art and my love for fashion...I already have the adicolor pink series p2 (which was done by Fafi...in case you've been under a rock the past couple years) and I think they're the illest things in the world...so I take it back... the sleek series is alright...well kinda...

In other Fafi news... I saw on her myspace page that she's done a collabo with Le Sportsac due Feb 2007...I can't wait!
